Preference in Inpage

Greek

         with the help of  Text Blow we can fix or change the font size. If we check the picture box then we cant put object in Inpage file.

Right Button

        In this you remain selected Floating Menu. With the help of Zoom we can more or less the Zoom in and Zoom out.

Guides Color

     With the help of this command we can change the color of Column, User, Margin.

Drag Drop Text

       In this command we can drag and drop the text by  check this box.

Auto Save Every

         With the help of this option our Inpage file is automatically saved   After the specified time.

Use of Application in Inpage

Application

       Edit Menu-> Preference-> Application. Click on Application then one box will be open which is called  Application Preference Box. Application Preference box contains more options that  shown below. Shortcut key of application  is Alt+F11.

Application Type

        The highlight of this option would be that the Left to right. Then roller and the status bar will remain in its place that is default.  If we select  Right to Left  then Ruler and Status Bar   will change their place.

Arrow Keys Movement

         We can do two things with the help of this option. We can more or less  the value of listed box to whom we can shake the object. With the help of Width Control we can fix the value of  Arrow Keys Movement.

Uses of Lock Guides & Delete Page

Lock Guides

           With the help of this command  we can close  Guide  Lines.  Enter the snap distance in points. This defines a region (based on the specified snap distance) around each guide. If an object is moved inside this region, the object will snap to the guide position. In Edit Menu Click on Lock Guides then guidelines will be fix.  And then it will be impossible to change Do not unlock until.

Delete Page

      From this command we can delete page.  Shortcut key is  Alt+Del.

Send to Back & Bring to Front

Send to Back

       This command is use for objects. Let suppose we draw to box in Inpage file. A color is blue and the other is red. If we want to put blue box behind the red box. Select blue box go in Edit menu then click on Send to Back. Then blue box will become behind the red box.

Bring to Front

       Now we want to put blue box front of red box. Then select blue box and go in Edit menu and click on Bring to Front. Then blue box will become front of red box.

Find and Replace

      With the help of this command we can find specific words and replace them. In Edit Menu click Find And Replace then dialogue box will be appear. Type the text that you want to find in Find Text then click on Find Next then word will be select from your file. Now you want to replace new word on selected word then click on Replace With and write your word that you want to replace then click Find And Replace your word will be change. Then you have got a message that your word had been changed.

Duplicate, Clear, Select in Edit Menu

Duplicate

             With the help of this command we can make duplicate of object. Select object and go in Edit Menu then click Duplicate. One box appears where you have ask that duplicate make in Column or Row. You also put the quantity of Duplicate and Click OK.

Clear

         From this command we can clear text or object. Which text or object you want to delete select and go in Edit Menu then click Clear. Your require object or text will be deleted. Shortcut key of Clear is Del.

Select All

        With the help of this command we select all the data that exist in page including text or object. In Edit Menu Click Select All. Shortcut key is Ctrl+A.

Undo Text, Cut and Copy In Inpage

Undo Text

      With the help of this Command we can go back Just for one word. For example if we write something Like Rawalpindi then click Ctrl+Z  word I will be removed. Shortcut key is Ctrl+Z.

Cut

       This Command works like "Copy". But the difference is that when we cut the text then text disappeared. When we Click Paste then text appears. Shortcut key is  Ctrl+X.

Copy

        After selecting Text click Copy or Shortcut key Ctrl+C. You can paste text in Inpage File.

Print & Exit

Print

       From this command we can take Print of Inpage File. The shortcut key of Print is Ctrl+P.

Exit

       With the help of this command we can close Inpage Program. The shortcut key of Exit is Alt+F4.

Import & Export Pages in File Menu

Import

            with  the help of this command we Import File in Inpage.

Export Pages

           From this Command we can save Inpage File Eps or Gif format. For saving in Gif format go File Menu and click on Export Pages. Then a box will be opened.

    Now You click on Browse. After clicking one more box will be opened where you type File Name, Select Format, and Select location then click Save. From this way you can save Inpage file in Gif or Eps formats.

How to use Place option in Inpage

Place

         With the help of Place we can import graphic file and place it in Inpage File. Before Placing graphic file we select Arrow Tool and in File Menu Click Place. you have open one Dialogue Box. Select picture and Click Open. Now where you want to place picture then click Left of Mouse.

Save As & Collect For Output

By using Save As we can Save already existing file with another name or format. Go File Menu select Save As then a window appear select your file. Type name and select Save As Type then click Save. 

     Collect For Output also works like Save As.

How to Open an Existing File in Inpage

With the help of Open option in File Menu you can open an existing file. In File Menu Select Open or press Ctrl+O then window appear that shown below. Select your file  and click Open. Your file will be opened.

Story Editor

Whenever you wants to type compose or work on a book with Urdu text you should click this option available in Edit Menu-> Story Editor or you can also press F2. When you click on This option you will see all of your typed text font size will adjust to 12. Also the font style will get same for all your text, when you get finished with typing again Press F2 to reset the editor to its default look where you again can see the tools.

How to Select Urdu Keyboard for Urdu Typing in Inpage

Before typing first you need to select URDU keyboard

• Click Edit Menu-> Preferences-> Keyboard Preferences.
• You will see the another box as shown below to select Keyboard, Choose Phonetic Keyboard.
• You can also see the keyboard View by clicking Phonetic Keyboard(View).

How to use Link Text Chain Tool & Unlink Text Chain Tool

     We draw two text box A,B. In A box we type some text when box space go to end then select Link Text Chain Tool. Click on Box A and then click on Box B Text will be transferred in Box B.

    Now if you want to dis-link A,B Text boxes. Select Unlink Text Chain Tool and click Box B then text boxes will be dis-linked. Text from Box B will be transferred again in Box A.\

Introduction Of Status Bar & Tool Box In Inpage

After Creating a New Document you can see the screen as show below you can see on left a Tool Box  in middle of screen a blank New Page and on the Top Title Bar.

The Status Bar

             Status Bar is available at lower left corner of Inpage application window, you can see in above picture 1/1 that is the current page and total number of pages available in your opened document.

You can also adjust the Zoom ratio for text.

From this tool you can transfer text from one text box to another text box.

From this tool you can dis link text from text to another text box.

Select this Tool for a Text Box. To type new heading or text inside a box.

Select this Tool for a Title Text box.

Select this Tool for a Picture Box.

Select this tool for a Graphic Box.

Select this Tool for Line.

Working with NEW FILE & Creating a NEW INPAGE Document

Start Inpage by using a shortcut available on your windows desktop screen. You will see the below shown screen on your desktop.

Click File Menu Click NEW you will  see the box shown in picture below, that will ask you PAGE SIZE, MARGINS, & COLUMNS.

Page

• You can select pages with different size like A4,Letter, Legal  etc. 
• Minimize or Maximize page width and height.
• Set a page in landscape or portrait & set the quantities of pages that you want.

Margins

• within the page right,left,down and up how much space(margin) should be aupraur.
• you can select typing direction from left to right or right to left .

column

You can also put columns in your page.

 After setting you click OK then new page will  be displayed.
